Join us at this year’s Apple Fest Fun Run — themed Sleep. Run. Have Fun! — where Charlevoix families and friends come together for a day of fitness, fun, and community spirit. Whether you lace up for the family-friendly 1 Mile Fun Run or push yourself on the 5K Course, you’ll be part of an event that’s all about healthy living and supporting local kids. Every registration includes your race number and a special swag packet to remember your achievement. Best of all, 100% of proceeds benefit local children through athletics, literacy, and leadership programs.
When: October 11, 2025 at 9 am (1 mile) and 9:30 am (5k)
Registration Fee:
  • $25 per individual runner (pre-registration)
  • $80 team bundle-up to 4 runners (pre-registration)
  • Race day all registrations go up by $10!

This year’s Apple Fest Fun Run is built around the theme Sleep. Run. Have Fun! — a reminder that kids thrive when they get the rest they need, move their bodies, and celebrate healthy habits every day.
Sleep is the foundation for energy, focus, and growth. When kids (and adults!) get enough quality rest, they’re ready to run strong, learn well, and enjoy life to the fullest. Add in a little fun, and you’ve got the perfect recipe for a great day.

Frequently Asked Questions
What's included with registration?
Your registration includes a race number that you pick up Saturday morning. After you turn in your number at the finish line, you'll get a packet with some race swag. Most importantly, you get the satisfaction of supporting local children's programs!
Is the course stroller-friendly?
Yes, the course is stroller-friendly and easy to navigate for walkers as well as runners.
Are dogs allowed?
Yes, dogs are allowed to walk with you if on a leash. Be aware that there will be large crowds and you are responsible for keeping your dog and others safe.
What happens if it rains?
The Apple Fest Fun Run is a rain-or-shine event! In case of severe weather, we'll communicate any changes through email and social media.

Our volunteers spend time reading with elementary students, building literacy skills and confidence.

Your donation makes a direct impact on children right here in northern Michigan—whether or not you run. Charlevoix Kiwanis supports all area kids and has donated to East Jordan, Ellsworth, and Boyne City kids’ robotics programs, athletics, numerous literacy programs, and maintains a cabin and scholarship at Camp Daggett and Camp McSauba because Kiwanis loves Kids!
